I often compare my genealogy work to a Treasure Hunt.  You may dig many holes, but the great majority of the time, you are forced to back out when you hit the bottom.  And sometimes, you break through and discover something wonderful.

Over the years, I have discovered stories of family that can make you cry, make the hair on the back of your neck stand on end, make you feel proud, cause you to smile, or makes you stop to wonder how and why. There are so many stories...and that's why I do this...and LOVE my job!

These are some of my treasures.  And yes...I'm STILL working on my research and application to the Sons of the American Revolution.  In my years of working on the family tree, I discovered many ancestors who fought for the revolution and found family who fought the war on the British side...Tories.

I have been working on establishing links to family Patriots for many years and have been frustrated with the "walls" you run into when you are trying to gather the "proofs" in the documentation needed for the SAR membership.  Not there yet...but I'm on it.
